Computer developers are not the only people who use code. This is a common misconception. Marketing/Advertising, Public Relations, Sales, Human Resources and many other jobs often ask for applicants to have some background in coding. If you do
n’t believe me go to glassdoor.com (or any job search engine) and search for jobs in any of these fields. Under skills, most will ask for a basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML or CSS. An applicant without any of these skills is instantly placed at the bottom of the list. It isn’t enough to understand social media or to be familiar with just tech.
