Great for both everyday camps or weekly sessions!
Difficulty: Simply coding courses range from beginners to advanced written with ages 11 – 18 in mind. Students will be learning to code using native text editors and creating fun worthwhile programs from start to finish.
Objective: To teach students how to code their own games, websites or apps and start their own online portfolio of their work.
Cost: Depends on demographic of your region, locations have charged between $99 – $300 with varying lengths and weekly schedules. We suggest if possible, schedule 10 – 15 hours of classroom time per class.
Class Size: Depends on the comfort of your teacher, many locations start with 10 – 12 students for this age group and course layout. As your teacher gets more comfortable class size may expand. Multiple teachers can handle 20+ students no problem if desired.

Marketing
We are happy to share any content that we have to help make the marketing as easy as possible. We have worked with a number of universities and have yet to have issues filling up our camps with enrollments. We suggest you start small, your teacher is your greatest asset. Let them become comfortable with smaller groups and capped enrollment. This will also build excitement and urgency from local community families for the next available coding sessions!
Game Design Competitions
Game Design competitions are super fun and it gives the students something to look forward to. This is truly the best way for them to hone in their coding skills.
When you start to think through coding your own ideas that’s when you really learn to code. In short, we give the students who have complete all the coding instructions a set of images and theme for them to code their own game. We give them a deadline for them to ‘turn’ (upload or email, usually a few days before the prize day) their games in. On the last day of camp or some future date students get together to see and play each other’s games as well as receive prizes and awards. Below are a few resources to help understand this better.

Example Student Portfolio
As students continue to complete coding projects it’s important for them to add them to their portfolio to keep all their work. This will be a valuable asset to them as they apply for college or work opportunities. We also have had students add their graphic design, animations, video editing and other hobbies they have to their portfolios.
